Chances are your tree is lit and decorated with an assortment of colorful lights and ornaments, your stockings are hung, and your children are anxiously awaiting the arrival of that jolly, red suit clothed, merry gentleman that will bring them their gifts neatly wrapped in holiday paper and a bow.
It’s fun to discuss what Santa may or may not bring, and we all know that no matter how late we stay up on Christmas Eve, we won’t see him slipping down the chimney or through an open window. And I know we all wonder whether or not Santa really enjoys those cookies and milk that are left for him. We’re disregarding the darker and more serious side of Santa’s little joyride with his sleigh and reindeer.
“Up on the rooftop, click, click, click!” Santa lands his sleigh and reindeer on top of your house every Christmas Eve. Do you have any idea what kind of damage that sleigh and reindeer hooves can do to your roof? There can be loose shingles, cracked wood, and sagging beams—not to mention the mess that those cute little reindeer leave behind!
Seriously, the winter can be extremely tough on your home’s roof. Both residential and commercial roofs can develop issues from the added stress of heavy rain, cold temperatures, and wind.
This is when the roof leaks begin to pop up. Please remember that roof repair is not something you want to postpone. Minor leaks can turn into serious and expensive issues if they are left unattended. And if this winter is anything like last year then we are in for some brutal rainstorms on the Central Coast.
If at any point during the winter season you have some concerns or issues with your roof please don’t hesitate to give us a “jingle” and we will be happy to assist… The pun is definitely intended 🙂
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
